Qualcomm’s honeymoon is over! Copilot+ is coming to new PCs

Ana sayfa / News

Microsoft has taken another important step in bringing the power of AI to the PC world. Starting in November 2024, laptops equipped with Intel’s Core Ultra 200V series and AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 series processors will have access to Microsoft’s advanced Copilot+ AI features. With Qualcomm’s exclusive Copilot+ era on PCs coming to an end, a much wider range of users will now be able to use these powerful AI tools. So what are the features coming? Details in our news…

If you ask what Copilot+ is, this feature includes a number of applications supported by artificial intelligence. Among these are many innovations such as real-time subtitle creation (even instant translation), text image generation with “ Cocreator ” in drawing applications, photo editing and video editing with Windows Studio Effects . Especially features such as adjusting eye contact , blurring the background and auto -framing will be really useful for content creators and those dealing with video conferences.

For gamers , one of the most exciting features is Auto Super Resolution , which comes as a rival to NVIDIA’s DLSS technology . This feature increases the graphic resolution and refresh rate in games, and does not compromise on performance. In other words, it offers sharper images and a smoother gaming experience.

To support these features, Intel’s Core Ultra 200V series processors include a neural processing unit (NPU). This NPU can deliver up to 48 TOPS of performance for local AI processing. In other words, these new processors are not only powerful, they are also incredibly smart.

Intel claims the 200V has up to 32GB of onboard memory and is “the most efficient x86 processor ever made,” with a 50% reduction in package power consumption. Microsoft also wants to integrate AI into the daily work of PC users, and aims to achieve this with Copilot+.
